Do kids learn easier than adults?

I know in language they do but what about other stuff? For example I know a 9 year old who can do all of these crazy double ball basketball drills but when he tried to teach them to my brother who is a junior on varsity he couldn't do them at all...its like concentration drills you have to be smart and coordinated
